We have decided to change our future son's name to Isaac. This decision was hard yet very easy, Isaac was a name that we both liked way back when we were deciding on names. Courtney was looking up the name Isaac a couple weeks ago and found that a nickname was Ziggy. As you all know Ziggy is my step father's nickname who was diagnosed with cancer back in December 2006. Ziggy is a very laid back guy and nothing really phases him, losing his hair from chemo was no big deal, being diagnosed with cancer never got him down. About a week ago, we all went to dinner and after I asked him what he thought about the name Isaac, he said he liked it and I told him that a nickname for Isaac is Ziggy and how would he feel about a little Ziggy running around. He turned to me and said, "You know, my Hebrew name is Isaac". It felt like fate, like his grandchild's name was supposed to be Isaac. My mom said "I'm used to Caleb" and Ziggy said to her "It's Isaac, end of story". I haven't really seen him that passionate about anything lately. That was it. His name is changed.
